Shitty First Drafts

I loved Anne Lamott's article. It will help me finish my first draft of my research paper a lot. The idea she points out is that every writer usually has a shitty first draft. You write down everything you want to say in that first draft and then pick it a part later because there might be something useful in the shitty squabbles. I like how she uses herself as an example; she has been writing for years, however she still panics when she sits down to write a paper or review and will write a shitty first draft. From now on, I will stop trying to make my first draft so perfect and just write what is on my mind.
